Two teens have died after a two-vehicle wreck on GA 365 in Hall County Saturday, Feb. 1.
At around 11:30 a.m., a 2009 Mercedes E320 was traveling north on GA 365 near Whitehall Road in Hall County at a high rate of speed before the driver lost control, according to GSP. This caused the vehicle to rotate and strike a 2020 Kia Sportage in the right lane.
The impact sent the Kia off the roadway, where it came to an uncontrollable stop. The Mercedes also veered off the road and struck several trees, the agency said.
The driver of the Mercedes, 17-year-old Dinu Dairy, of Winder, died soon after. The passenger, 16-year-old Tanner Collins, also of Winder, died after he was transported in critical condition to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.
No injuries were reported for the driver of the Kia – Dana Wilson, 48, of Demorest.
As reported by Now Habersham Saturday, the accident slowed traffic in the northbound lane for some time.
The wreck remains under investigation.
