Despite the chilly temperatures, the annual Habersham County Christmas parade, hosted by the city of Cornelia, drew a large crowd eager to celebrate the season. The streets of downtown Cornelia were packed with people of all ages, bundled up in coats, scarves, and mittens, as they eagerly watched the festive procession unfold.

Children waved enthusiastically at the passing floats and rushed to collect the candy tossed along the route, adding to the excitement. The air was filled with holiday cheer, as the community came together to embrace the spirit of Christmas.

The parade featured an exciting array of floats, performances by the Habersham Central Marching Band, dance teams, fire trucks, and, of course, Santa Claus making his grand entrance at the end. Notable highlights included the Chick-fil-A Cow, Elsa from Frozen, the Grinch, and a dazzling, light-covered monster truck. The Cornelia Fire Department also wowed the crowd with their fire truck, fully decked out in a spectacular display of lights.

Local schools, businesses, churches, and civic organizations all contributed to the parade with their creative floats and holiday-themed displays, making for a memorable evening that truly kicked off the Christmas season in style.
