A Hartwell woman was seriously injured when she was ejected from her vehicle during a three-vehicle crash on GA 51. Paramedics airlifted 38-year-old Jacqueline Wallace to Prisma Healthcare in Greenville with serious injuries following the collision, state troopers say.
The wreck happened around 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, near Sundown Circle.
The preliminary State Patrol crash report says Wallace was driving a Honda Accord east on GA 51 when she struck a Chevy Camaro stopped in the eastbound lane, attempting to turn left into a private drive. The impact caused the Accord to travel into the path of a westbound Western Star concrete truck, which hit the left rear of the Accord, causing it to overturn.
Wallace was ejected from the Accord.
The concrete truck driver, 25-year-old Demitruis Oglesby of Hartwell, was transported by EMS to AnMed Medical Center in Anderson with minor injuries.
The driver of the Chevy Camaro, 28-year-old Ashlynn Putnam of Hartwell, was not injured.
Troopers from Georgia State Patrol Post 52 in Hartwell investigated the wreck.
