Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office is offering its last Firearms Safety Class this year. There are still spaces available for the class if you are interested. On Monday, October 28, the three-hour course will begin at 6 p.m. and finish at 9 p.m.
The next Firearms Safety Class will not be held until January 27, 2025. Retired Major Mike Ramsey who is with the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office will be teaching the course which will be held at the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office located at 385 East Main Street, Dahlonega GA.
It is important to note that you are not allowed to bring firearms to this class. This is a classroom setting. When you complete the course, you will be able to utilize the Lumpkin County Sheriff’s range.
The course is offered at no cost for the following:
1) residents of Lumpkin County 18 years and older or
2) a student that attends school in Lumpkin County (18 years and older) or
3) works in Lumpkin County.
