Firefighters extinguished a structure fire that destroyed part of a White County home Wednesday, Oct. 16.
White County fire crews and emergency responders from multiple agencies responded to a 911 call just before 10:30 a.m. Tuesday morning. Fire personnel were able to locate the blaze on the porch and knockdown the flames before the fire engulfed the rest of the multi-story residential home and spread to surrounding vegetation.
The fire was extinguished and firefighters ventilated the structure to clear smoke buildup and doused hotspots.
No injuries were reported as a result of the fire – the cause of which is undetermined at this time and is under investigation by the Georgia State Fire Marshal’s Office.
