A minor traffic accident involving a Habersham County Sheriff’s deputy temporarily slowed traffic in the Demorest area Tuesday afternoon.

The wreck occurred on Historic U.S. 441 at Eastside Drive around 2 p.m. on Oct. 15.

According to Sgt. Bronson Taylor of the Georgia State Patrol, the deputy was traveling north on Hwy. 441 when he rear-ended a pickup truck attempting to turn right onto Eastside Drive. The deputy reportedly told Taylor the pickup truck driver did not have on his turn signal.

Taylor says the signals were not defective.

No one was injured in the wreck.
