Baldwin is preparing for its 7th annual Fall Festival this Saturday, October 19, beginning at 12 p.m. The event will be held at the city’s Farmers Market and City Park on Airport Road in downtown Baldwin.
This community event is free and open to the public.
According to Baldwin Administrative Assistant John Dills, over 40 vendors from the local area and metro Atlanta are scheduled to attend this year’s event.
Various foods will be available, from burgers and bar-b-que to seafood and sweet treats. There will also be a variety of crafts for sale, from spray-paint art to custom bracelets and jewelry.
Jeep Ride, games and entertainment
The festival starts with a noon Jeep ride from 130 Airport Road downtown. You don’t need to register. T-shirts will be available for the first 25 participants.
Jeepers will depart Baldwin at 1 p.m. for the Currahee Crawl.
The event will also feature games and entertainment throughout the day, including bounce houses, pumpkin bowling, Plinko, hayrides, volleyball, cornhole, and a football toss.
The Maggie Valley Band, Katie Deal, and Kurt Johnston will provide music.
Fireworks and S’mores
As the fall evening falls, festival-goers can heat up s’mores at 7 p.m., followed by a fireworks finale at dusk.
The event will conclude around 8 p.m. or immediately after the fireworks display.
