Ronnie Elden Elliott, age 64 of Cornelia, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024.
Born on October 26, 1959, in Clayton, he was a son of the late R.E. and Alice Waters Elliott. Ronnie was retired from Fieldale Farms and was of the Baptist faith. He was an avid race car fan, who also enjoyed deer hunting and fishing in his spare time. Mostly, he will be remembered for his tremendous love for his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Waters.
Survivors include his loving wife of 35 years, Deborah Kay Kastner Thomas Elliott of Cornelia; stepson Jeremy Thomas of Cornelia; grandchildren Brandon Thomas (Amy Hill), Sarah Thomas (Brandon Epps), Katelyn Thomas (Brian Cox), and Michael Norris (Megan Floyd); nine great-grandchildren; sisters and brother-in-law Janice Thompson (Dennis) and Ann Gosnell, all of Cornelia; and numerous extended relatives and friends.
Funeral services are at 11 am on Saturday, October 12, 2024, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart, with Rev. Johnny Loudermilk officiating.
Interment will follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 11, 2024.
