A 20-year-old man was killed early Wednesday morning when a tree fell on top of the mobile home where he was sleeping, according to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident occurred just before 4:45 a.m. in the 2300 block of Athens Highway.
Deputies arrived to find a large tree had fallen on a section of the mobile home, trapping Henry Geovanny Mendez Aguilar in his bed. A second resident sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The sheriff’s office says Aguilar was a Guatemalan national who was in the United States on a work visa. The Hall County Coroner transported his body for autopsy.
