Two fun-filled weekends just up ahead to help us bring in the Fall Festival season held at the Historic Mountain Fairgrounds in Hiawassee, Georgia. On October 10-13 and 17-19 at 1311 Music Hall Road, there will be arts and crafts vendors, educational demonstrations, and live music concerts. Visitors from all over the state come year after year to enjoy the beautiful landscapes, smell the fresh mountain air, and experience the wonder of the North Georgia mountains.
Thursday, October 10, is Preview Night beginning at 5 p.m.
Dylan Scott, Joe Nichols, Tracy Lawrence & The Malpass Brothers, Three Dog Night, and Nate Smith are some of the live music spots each night at the Fall Festival. All concerts require a concert ticket for entry. This ticket can also be used as admission to the Festival.
Hilda Thomason, General Manager of the Georgia Mountain Fair Grounds warns participants to be aware of 3rd party resellers and scams. Tickets should only be purchased through the website. Also, please be aware that the clear bag policy is strictly enforced.
Free with an admission ticket are the Cowboy Circus, the Xpogo Stunt Show, The Bear Factory, and the Pioneer Village. The Carnival Midway will be from October 10 – 13 only.
“We have 68 arts & craft booths with a waiting list for those who want to join. We also have a pumpkin contest and so much more.” Thomason said. “The Fall Festival is in its 60th year.”
This year, a 1950 Farmall H tractor has been donated by a family in Marietta. It will be a great photo opportunity.
