Ricky DeWayne Barnett of Clayton, Ga, went to be with the Lord on August 20, 2024.
Ricky Was born on April 21, 1958, to Willie Dean Barnett and Sarah Edna Farr Barnett.
He was a master carpenter and painter. For a time, he lived in Florida and worked as a carpenter and chef. Ricky then found his way to Clayton, where he worked on many projects around Rabun County.
Ricky loved his music. He played the guitar from a young age, sometimes playing it in church with his father. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. He loved to fish and camp. He would camp on Yonah Lake for weeks at a time.
Ricky is survived by his Sisters Teresa Posey of Pendelton, Sc, and Aleta Winchester (Joel) of Mountain City, Ga; Brothers Randy Barnett (Kay) of Clayton and Danny Barnett (Merry) of Tiger, Ga; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he loved.
A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
