Early/Advance Voting
Early voting in the Nov. 4 General Election begins today in Habersham. You can cast your ballot now through Oct. 31 from 8am-5pm at the County Elections and Registration Office located in the basement of the old courthouse at 555 Monroe Street.
Advance Voting begins Oct. 27 at the Ruby Fulbright Aquatic Center located at 120 Paul Franklin Road/Toccoa Highway in Clarkesville and the Cornelia Depot located at 102 Clarkesville Street in Cornelia. Hours will be M-F, 8am-7pm
Saturday voting is scheduled for Oct. 25 at the Ruby Fulbright Aquatic Center in Clarkesville and Cornelia Depot from 9am-4pm.
All early and advance voting ends on Oct. 31.
Election Day Precincts
Habersham County Elections Superintendent and Registrar Laurel Ellison says voters can go to any of the advance voting locations regardless of where there regular voting precinct is located. If you wait to cast your ballot on election day you must vote at your regular precinct.
Habersham County has two election precincts – Habersham North and Habersham South. They are located at the Ruby Fulbright Aquatic Center (North) and Cornelia Depot (South). If you are unsure of which precinct you’ve been assigned to, contact the county elections office at 706-839-0170 or visit www.mvp.sos.ga.gov online.
City voters in Baldwin, Demorest and Mt. Airy who vote on election day can cast ballots for all city/county/state/federal elections at their city voting precincts between the hours of 7am-7pm. Those precincts are:
City of Baldwin – Baldwin City Police Department, 155 Willingham Avenue
City of Demorest – Demorest Fire Department (City Council meeting room), 125 Ivy Street
Town of Mt. Airy – Mt. Airy City Hall, 869 Dick’s Hill Parkway
Cornelia and Alto city voters who vote on election day must go to the Habersham South Precinct to vote on city/county/state/federal ballots.
Clarkesville voters who vote on election day will go to the Habersham North Precinct to vote on county/state/federal elections.
