Hodges Street and Clarkesville Street will be closed on Thursday afternoon, July 25, beginning at 2 p.m. According to Cornelia City Manager Dee Anderson, the streets should reopen by 10 p.m.

The city will host its Catch Me in Cornelia Summer Nights Festival downtown from 5 to 9 p.m.

According to Cornelia Main Street Manager Noah Hamil, there will be merchandise and food vendors at the event.  Downtown businesses will be offering discounts and featured items. There will also be live music and entertainment.

Business owners and customers on those streets are asked to move their vehicles before 2 p.m. Any vehicles remaining after that time will be towed.

Motorists may encounter delays in the downtown area and may want to consider an alternate route.
