Cleveland Molding Employee Injured in Forklift Accident

(Cleveland)- An employee of Cleveland Moldings/North Georgia Hardwoods, located on the Helen Highway, was injured Wednesday afternoon after a stack of lumber, he was attempting to move, fell onto the forklift he was operating.

Cleveland Fire Chief Ricky Pruitt said, prior to the fire department and EMS arrival, other employees used two other forklifts to pickup the stack of lumber off the forklift cage, so the injured employee could get out.

According to Pruitt, the victim suffered possible internal injuries, and was transported by White County EMS to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for treatment.
