The 6th Annual Taste of Clarkesville takes place this weekend.
The popular culinary event starts at Noon on Saturday, September 26 and continues until 3pm. More than thirty vendors are scheduled to participate in this year’s event. Their booths will be set up on both sides of the Clarkesville Square and will feature food and beverages from area restaurants, vineyards and breweries.
Ticket booths will be located in four locations on the Square (see map below). The cost is $1 per ticket with a $5 minimum. Each food/beverage “taste” will cost at least one ticket. You must be 21 years or older to purchase and/or drink alcohol. IDs will be required. No refunds or exchanges will be allowed on any ticket sales.
Dining courts will be set up on both sides of the Square. There will be live entertainment from the stage on the east side of the Clarkesville Square throughout the day.
A Top 20 Event
A Taste of Clarkesville has been named a Top 20 Event for September by the Southeast Tourism Society (STS) three years running. It’s a collaborative effort of the Clarkesville Business Association (CBCA), Clarkesville Main Street and the City of Clarkesville. This culinary event was started by the CBCA to showcase downtown restaurants, local wineries, nearby breweries and all of the businesses located on the downtown square.
Last year’s Taste of Clarkesville drew over 3,500 people.
