The Banks County Fire Department is investigating a weekend fire in Lula that left a family homeless.
Fire Chief Steve Nichols says units responded to the blaze at 395 Rock Springs Road shortly after 9 p.m. Friday, June 14.
When firefighters arrived, they found the single-family home fully engulfed in flames, says Nichols. He says the father and teenaged son who lived there were not at home when the fire broke out. No injuries were reported.
Firefighters called in the American Red Cross to assist the displaced family.
Investigators are working to determine what caused the fire.
