Driver transported to hospital after wreck north of Clarkesville

An SUV driver was transported to the hospital after she was involved in a wreck with a work truck north of Clarkesville.

Habersham County Emergency Services responded to the crash on Ben Jones Road at Kings Bridge Way around 5 p.m. Thursday, May 16.

The injured driver was traveling in a Ford Edge. First responders on the scene say she sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The driver, passengers, and a dog in the Ford F-250 were unharmed.

The collision caused significant damage to both vehicles.

The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the accident. Deputies say charges are pending against the SUV driver. They have not released any names.
