Cline David Grier, age 71, of Bremen, Georgia, formerly of Habersham County, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024.
Born on September 21, 1952, in Atlanta, he was a son of the late Otis and Lorraine Gilstrap Grier. Mr. Grier was a United States Army Veteran who served during Vietnam and retired from Fieldale after 45 years of service. He loved his family, especially his grandkids and dog, Chewy, and was of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include his loving wife, Lola Jean Grier of Bremen; daughter and son-in-law, Tanya Savage (Kevin) of Alto; son and daughter-in-law, Michael David Grier (Sheryl) of Blairsville; stepsons, Shawn Hunter and Michael Hunter; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; six step-great-grandchildren; brother, Farris Grier of Cornelia; sister, Gerri Tafoya of Williamson, Georgia; sister-in-law, Judy Moon Hodges; brother-in-law and spouse, Fred Moon (Kim); and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are scheduled for 12:00 noon on Saturday, May 18, 2024, in the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart, with Pastor Anthony Shore officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Zion Methodist Church Cemetery with military honors provided by the Grant Reeves Veteran’s Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until the service hour on Saturday at the funeral home.
