The City of Helen is hosting “A Day in the Park” for Veterans on Tuesday, September 22nd at 11:30AM. The fall cookout will be held in Helen’s Riverside Park, on Edelweiss Strasse, in appreciation of the service of our veterans and their families. Veterans are reminded of the event and asked to simply call Helen Arts & Heritage at 706-878-3933 and leave a message with the number of members in their family expected to attend by Friday, September 18th. The meal is provided by the City of Helen along with desserts from members of Helen Arts & Heritage Center. All veterans and their families are cordially invited to attend and enjoy a day in the park with fellow veterans.
