Looking for a nice, picturesque fall drive? No need to look too far. Yahoo! — one of the highest-read news and media websites in the world — has named Georgia’s State Route 197 to its list of “The Most Scenic Drive in All 50 States.”
Noted for its “killer turns” and “gorgeous scenery,” Hwy. 197 sits on the list with Connecticut’s State Route 197, Colorado’s Pike’s Peak, Florida’s Seven Mile Bridge and, well, 46 other fascinating roadways.

Head into the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest and you’ll be rewarded with some pretty killer turns. Get out of your car, though, and you’ll see gorgeous scenery like this. ~ Yahoo!
According to the article’s author Aaron Miller, the list is based on the Federal Highway Administration’s database of best scenic byways and “…with a little extra digging where the government list falls short, we came up with the definitive guide to the most scenic road in each and every one of our 50 states.”
