Hart County Sheriff’s Office makes arrest in entering auto cases

The Hart County Sheriff’s Office issued a press release regarding the arrest of Emory Lewis Isom.

On Thursday, April 11, reports were received of multiple entering auto cases in the area of Anderson Hwy and Liberty Hill Church Road. Evidence and information from different individuals led to the identification of the suspect, Emory Lewis Isom.

Investigators with the Sheriff’s Office secured an arrest warrant on Isom and he was taken into custody in Anderson County, South Carolina.

There have been a string of auto thefts in Habersham, Rabun, Stephens, and White counties. Please read to learn more.

Captain Chris Carroll at the Hart County Sheriff’s Office said, “We believe these entering auto cases are isolated from the ones in Stephen’s and other counties due to the fact that Emory Lewis Isom just got out of prison on April 5, 2024, for charges of Entering Auto.”

Isom has been charged with Entering Auto, Theft by taking, Criminal Trespass, and Criminal attempt to commit a felony (Entering Auto) involving multiple cases.
