The Cleveland Police Department will be hosting a car seat clinic on Friday April 12.The clinic is designed to ensure children’s car seats are properly installed and checked for proper fit for the child.

Cleveland Police Chief Jeff Shoemaker states, “This is a free event, we will be checking for proper installation and answering questions.”

The car seat clinic will be held in the lower parking lot on the northside of Cleveland First Baptist Church. The event will run from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

He requests, “Ideally, the child would need to be with the parent/guardian so that proper fit is checked for that specific child.”

Shoemaker says that the police department has a limited number of free car seats available for those who qualify.

Cleveland First Baptist Church is located at 25 Church Street in Cleveland.
