(Atlanta)- The White County Warriors, in their third game of the season, traveled to Atlanta Friday night to take on Pace Academy. It was a slow start for both teams, but Pace was able to get on the board with a field goal in the first quarter and a touchdown by Pace’s Tony Addison made it 10 – nothing at the end of the second quarter.
White County came back after the halftime break and made their first score of the game on a touchdown by Caleb Crane, followed by another touchdown by Adam Johnson, both extra points by Bradley Hurst were good, bringing the score to 14-10.
Things started going down hill for the Warriors after that when the Knights field goal kicker Samuel Sloman booted a 52 yard field goal. At that point White County still had a one point lead, but with 13 seconds left Sloman clinched the game for Pace with a 48 yard field goal, making the final score Pace 16 White County 14.
Calab Crane was selected by the broadcast team as the Captain D’s Offensive Player of the Game and Adam Johnson the Defensive player of the game.
