With the upcoming election season fast approaching, Hall County Elections is preparing to recruit 600 poll workers to help with the smooth operation of the elections.

“We need poll workers who are willing to serve during the upcoming General Primary on May 21, as well as the General Election on November 5,” Hall County Elections Manager Paige Thompson said.

The hiring drive for poll workers is set to begin on March 26 and will last until March 28, with sessions being held at the Hall County Government Center in Gainesville from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

To be eligible to work as a poll worker, applicants must be at least 16 years old and a resident of Hall County. However, a news release from the Hall County Elections Office says residents of neighboring counties may also qualify. Spanish speakers are encouraged to apply.

“Poll working is a crucial part of the election process and ensures Hall County continues to provide secure, successful and stress-free elections to citizens,” Thompson said. “It is important we find workers who are serious about elections, reliable and committed.”
All poll workers will be paid and provided with necessary training prior to the election season.
