A fire at the Ten Cate Nicolon plant in Cornelia caused for some tense moments Friday as the entire plant had to be evacuated. Human Resources manager Randall Adams tells Now Habersham the fire broke out around 11:15 a.m. in a small vent inside the plant on Old Cleveland Road. Units from the Cornelia Fire Department and EMTs responded to the scene.
Witnesses say smoke was visible from outside the plant but Adams says there was no major damage. Employees were evacuated as a precaution. No one was injured.
