Francis Marion F.M. Bond, aka Squeaky, passed away peacefully at his residence on February 18th, 2024, at the age of 95.
F.M. has been joyfully welcomed into Heaven by Jesus and is reunited with his late wife, Ann, of 60 years.
Squeaky was born in Abbeville, SC, and chose a career as a lineman that lasted over 50 years. He and Ann then retired to Mt. Airy, GA, and were members of Hazel Creek Baptist Church.
Squeaky had two sons- Frank Bond, who preceded him in death, and Richard (Rhonda) Bond. He was Grandpa to Jeremiah (Nicole) Bond and Clyde Bond and great-grandpa to Cohutta Bond.
In his later years, Grandpa spent his time with his adopted family, and much love was shared there. He will be greatly missed by this family- Eva Aderholdt, Karmen Ceja, Josefina Magaña, Jennifer Orozco, Karla Orozco, Alejandro Orozco, and Alondra Orozco.
Squeaky will be remembered as always having a smile and joke for everyone he encountered. He loved meeting new people, learning new things and helping those is need. He moved through life with grit and tackled obstacles with a grin on his face.
The family would like to give their appreciation and gratitude to the staff of Amedisys Hospice of Toccoa for their love and compassion during this time.
Celebration of life service will be at Hazel Creek Baptist on March 9, 2024, at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hazel Creek Baptist Church, 243 Hazel Creek Road, Mt. Airy, GA 30563.
