Five students from Habersham Central High School have been selected as semi-finalists for the Georgia Governor’s Honors Program.
Charles Hughes, Katherine Davis, Abigail Taylor, Kenzielynn Bodiford, and Joshua “Brice” Bowde were nominated, applied for, and chosen for the distinctive honor. They will travel to Georgia Southern University on Saturday, February 24, for final interviews and auditions.
The Georgia Governor’s Honors Program (GHP) is a residential summer program for skilled, knowledgeable, and talented high school sophomores and juniors. The program is designed to provide students with academic, cultural, and social enrichment opportunities aimed at developing critical thinkers, innovators, and leaders.
The program is administered by the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement.
