CLEVELAND, Ga. — The White County Fire Service has five new members on its command staff. The department held a pinning ceremony on Friday, Oct. 27, for its newly-named captain and four lieutenants.

“As we grow as a county and as a department, we find ourselves in the place where we need leadership roles to help manage the opportunities that come along with growth,” said White County Public Safety Director David Murphy.

He added, “We are excited for these men and the advancement in their careers.”

Firefighter Jody Holland was promoted to captain. Brad Alexander, Austin Brown, Bradley Martin, and Shad Sosebee were promoted to lieutenant. Murphy, along with White County Fire Chief Michael LeFevre, presented each of them with collar brass symbolizing their new roles.

Friends and family assisted in pinning the brass onto their collars.
