Gloria Carol Colston Willis, age 67, of Clarkesville, Georgia, took her heavenly flight home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 27, 2023, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Demorest, Georgia, on May 04, 1956, she was the daughter of the late James Claude & Estelle Dixon Colston. Carol was co-owner of Kilz Pest Control for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed planting a ministry garden each year, where she was able to help feed a multitude of people throughout the community. Carol also loved thrifting at various estate sales. Most of all, she enjoyed precious time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who affectionately called her “Nanos.” Carol attended The Torch Worship Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Carmen Rae Benfield, and by her brother, Michael Claude Colston.
Survivors include her loving husband of 33 years, Roger Lee Willis; sons & daughter-in-law, Doug & Myra Benfield; Greg Gunn; daughter & son-in-law, Jennifer & Anthony DeFoor; brother & sister-in-law, Jim & Dianne Colston; grandchildren, Gracyn & Merci Benfield; Corvin Parham, Shoal Moulder, Asher Moulder, Kinley DeFoor, Avery DeFoor, Enna DeFoor, & Ian DeFoor; Zadie Pitts, Connor Allen, Lyla Swenson, & Katelynn Swenson; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, & friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Purpose Church at Bethel Temple with Bishop Ronald Wilson, Pastor Mike Franklin, Rev. Johnny Willis, & Rev. Chad Parham officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2023.
