Northeast Georgia Halloween events

It’s going to be a cool, breezy Halloween for trick-or-treaters Tuesday. Here are some local events kids can enjoy on Oct. 31.

Habersham County

Cornelia, 3–6 pm: Trick-or-treat at downtown businesses and trunk-or-treat in the Historic Train Depot parking lot. Costume contest at 5 pm. Winners will receive cash prizes!

Clarkesville, 5–7 pm: Trick-or-treat on the town square. Costume contests for kids and pets at 6 pm.

Demorest, 5–8 pm: Trick-or-treat downtown. Food truck, bouncy houses, and games.

MedLink in Demorest, 6–8 pm: Trunk-or-treat at 396 Historic Hwy. 441 North, Demorest. For directions and more info., click here.

Hall County

Gainesville, 3–6 pm: Trick-or-Treat on the Square. Downtown businesses will be handing out candy. Enjoy the Squarecrow displays and enter the costume contest at 5:30 pm on the Main Street stage. For directions and more info., click here.

Dahlonega, 5–7 pm: Scares on the Square with trick-or-treating at downtown businesses.

Towns County

Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds, Hiawassee, 5–9 pm: Trick-or-treating fun at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds. For directions and more info., click here.

MedLink in Cleveland, 5:30 pm: Trunk-or-treat at 17 White Street in Cleveland. This event will last until the candy is gone. For directions and more info., click here.

Truett McConnell University in Cleveland, 6–9 pm: Treats at Truett returns! This free event is open to the whole family. The evening will include a cake walk, face painting, hayride, balloon artist, hot cocoa, popcorn, carnival-style games, glow-in-the-dark fua n, creepy dorm, and tons and tons of candy.
