Habersham County residents are urged to be on alert after the report of a home invasion on BC Grant Road in Alto. The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office reports on its Facebook page, officers responded to the call in the 1700 block of BC Grant Road Monday around 3:54PM. A 13-year old girl told authorities she was home sick when an unknown white male entered her home:
“The unknown male was described as tall, skinny, with short reddish blonde hair and some facial hair (stubble, about two days growth). The unknown male had a pistol (handgun) on his belt. The victim was scared and ran to a neighbor’s house. The unknown male followed her for a short distance then got into a black four door “police style” vehicle which had dark tinted windows and left heading south on BC Grant Road.”
According to the post, the victim told officers she had seen the vehicle slowly driving up and down the road prior to the incident on August 24th.
Habersham County Sheriff’s Office Special Victim’s Unit Sgt. Richard Stein and Investigator Heidi Lass are handling the investigation.
