Three adults and three children were forced from their home Monday when a fire broke out before dawn.
Hall County firefighters were dispatched to the residence in the 4800 block of Clarkstone Circle around 3:20 a.m. on August 28.
“Upon arrival, crews found flames and heavy smoke pouring from the garage toward the right side of the residence,” says Hall County Fire Rescue Public Information Officer Kimberlie Ledsinger.
The flames extended into the second floor above the garage and partially into the attic. Ledsinger says firefighters quickly extinguished the bulk of the fire.
Due to the extent of damage caused by the fire, the family was unable to return to the residence.
The cause of the fire is unknown. The Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating.
