A high-speed chase with deputies in Hart County landed a driver in jail.
The Hart County Sheriff’s Office says Matthew Chase Ramey, 36, of Hartwell, led officers on a 15-mile-long chase on Reed Creek Highway on Tuesday. Ramey allegedly fled from an attempted traffic stop.
The August 22nd chase exceeded 100 mph, sheriff’s officials say.
Following the chase, deputies arrested Ramey and charged him with 19 counts, including aggravated assault against a police officer.
He is currently being held in the Hart Co Jail.
