With all the happy, smiling faces of young students eagerly looking forward to their new school year adventures, the dogs at the local shelter got in on the act.
Habersham County Animal Care and Control (HCACC) took to social media Friday to wish area students a happy first day of school. The employees at the shelter then added their own bit of flare.
“We LOVED seeing all the kids and their ‘First Day of School’ Boards,” says HCACC Director Madi Nix. “The shelter dogs wanted to show off their version!”
The dogs posed with boards listing how many days they’d been at the shelter. Employees posted the pups’ photos to Facebook, hoping that someone, somewhere, would find it in their heart to give them a forever home.
“All these cuties are FULLY VETTED and available for SAME DAY ADOPTION,” the post reads. “We can’t wait for them to be able to show off their ‘LAST DAY’ at the shelter when they go home with YOU!”
