Pet of the Week: Adam

Woof, hi there! My name is Adam, and I’m a lovable “Georgia brown dog,” a true Heinz 57, and I’m just the right size – not too big, not too small. I may be a mature adult, but I promise I’ve got plenty of love and good times to offer!

You see, I’ve had quite the journey. I was lucky enough to be adopted from this very shelter back in 2018. However, life took an unexpected turn, and I was recently found roaming around Toccoa, very dirty and very hungry.

Adam gets along well with other dogs and is just waiting for a family to love.

The nice people at Toccoa Stephens County Humane notified my old pals at Habersham. It’s an unspoken rule in shelters that if one of your adopted dogs ends up elsewhere- you get them back. So, of course, they said, “Come home Adam!”

Luckily, my microchip brought me back here, where it all began. Unfortunately, my previous owners couldn’t be reached, and all the contact info they left was a dead end.

But let’s focus on the positive. I absolutely adore people and get along amazingly with other dogs. So, if you’re looking for a furry friend to brighten up your life and help you make new friends at the dog park- I’m your guy!

Oh, did I mention I’m already neutered, heartworm negative, and my vaccinations and preventives are all up to date? I’m ready to be part of your family right away!

Come meet me at the Habersham County Animal Shelter.
