One person was injured in a three-vehicle wreck Saturday on GA 105/Cannon Bridge Road.
Habersham E-911 dispatched first responders to the crash at 3:21 p.m. on July 29. The Georgia State Patrol investigated the crash.
According to the preliminary accident report, Eric Lopez, 51, of Clarkesville, was driving a Nissan Pathfinder north on GA 105, attempting to turn left onto Pea Ridge. A Hyundai Accent driven by Lisa Saunders, 47, of Demorest, was southbound on GA 105 and struck the Pathfinder in the passenger’s front side as it turned in front of her.
The impact caused the Pathfinder to travel onto Pea Ridge Road, where it struck a Kia Soul driven by Courtney Chadwick, 36, of Demorest.
The wreck injured Saunders. Habersham EMS transported her to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville. Lopez, Chadwick, and a 12-year-old child in Chadwick’s vehicle escaped uninjured.
The investigating state trooper charged Lopez with distracted driving and failure to yield.
