Funeral services are scheduled Friday for a Commerce man killed in a motorcycle crash last week in Towns County. Michael Patrick Brock was found dead off Highway 75 South after he was reported missing.
According to a Facebook post by the Towns County Sheriff’s Office, on July 21 they received a request from a neighboring agency to look for a missing man on a motorcycle headed from Helen to Towns County.
Towns County Sheriff’s Patrol Sgt. Eddie Spradlin located the motorcycle and driver down an embankment near the top of Unicoi Mountain. The motorcyclist, identified as Brock, was dead and had been there for a few hours, the sheriff’s office says.
The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the crash.
Brock’s funeral will be held this Friday, July 28 at 2 p.m. at McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home in Cornelia.
