Pet of the Week: Farley

Farley

“Hey there, folks! I’m Farley, the cute, chunky guy you need to meet, and I’m on a mission to find my forever home!

Life started off pretty rough for me when someone decided to abandon me on the side of the road. Can you believe it? Left all alone without a care! But that’s okay because I’m a resilient pup, and the nice man that saw pulled over to help. He made sure I safely found my way to the shelter, where I’m patiently waiting for my second chance at happiness.

I’ve been waiting a while—over two months. You see, when I’m in the shelter, all the noise and commotion can make me feel a little scared and overwhelmed. I showed my teeth and made lots of noise back to look tough so nobody would hurt me. People complained and told the ladies there I was “aggressive” and “dangerous.” One person even said I should be “put down.” The girls knew better, and they saw I was also shaking in fear while snarling at the strangers. They saw how gentle and kind I really was. I was just so frightened!

So, they’ve given me my own quiet spot to chill. But with no strangers means nobody sees me to pick me to adopt. But let me tell you, once I’m out of that place, I become the sweetest, gentlest dog you could ever imagine. I love kids, and I’m so good with them! I take treats ever so carefully, savoring every bite.

Now, here’s the dream I have in my big, adorable head. I dream of finding my very own granny who understands the value of relaxation and snacks. She will know all the cozy secrets of a happy home. Imagine me, snuggled up on a soft sofa next to my granny, looking up at her with pure love in my eyes. While she works her magic in the kitchen, I’ll be her faithful sidekick, hoping to snag a tasty treat or two. And when the grandkids come over, I’ll play with them and make them giggle, but I’ll also appreciate when it’s time for them to go home.

So, if you’re a granny with a penchant for pampering, a dog-shaped hole in your heart, and a home filled with kindness, I’ll be your “Goodest Boy”! I’m longing for a forever home where I can leave behind the shelter stress and enjoy a life of warmth, relaxation, and a few extra snacks.

Don’t miss your chance to meet me at the shelter!
