Constance Leigh “Connie” Whiten Sutton, age 52 of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away on Thursday, July 06, 2023 following an extended illness.
Born in Toccoa, Georgia on February 15, 1971, she was a daughter of Elaine & Hershell Norris of Mount Airy, Georgia and Randy & Debbie Whiten of Anderson, South Carolina. Connie was a graduate of Habersham Central High School, Class of 1989. She was a loving wife, daughter, mama, sister, and Memaw.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Branson & Jewell Welborn as well as James & Rosalie Whiten.
Survivors include her husband, Tony Sutton of Clarkesville, GA; son & daughter-in-law, Kyle & Paige Chastain; grandchildren, Aubrey & Kaden Chastain all of Winder, GA; mother & step-father, Elaine Welborn Norris & Hershell Norris of Mount Airy, GA; father & step-mother, Randy & Debbie Whiten of Anderson, SC; sister & brother-in-law, Julie & Lee Caudell of Mount Airy, GA; brother, Douglas Norris of Missouri; niece & nephew, Ava Caudell & Thomas Caudell of Mount Airy, GA; aunts & uncles, Patricia & Phillip Neeley of Clarkesville, GA; Gail & Jeff Nunn of Toccoa, GA; Cheryl & Randy Shirley of Toccoa, GA; and Michael & Jada Whiten of Toccoa, GA; other relatives, & friends.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 09, 2023 at Hillside Memorial Chapel in Clarkesville with Pastor Tony Locke officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillside Gardens Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until the service hour on Sunday.
