Organ concert this evening at First Presbyterian Church of Clarkesville

Organist Nikolai Peek will perform in concert at FPC Clarkesville on July 7, 2023.

Professional organist and Habersham native Nikolai Peek returns to First Presbyterian Church in Clarkesville for a special organ and choral concert on Friday, July 7, at 7:30 p.m.

Come experience firsthand the beauty and sound of the historic organ in the Sanctuary at FPC Clarkesville.

This concert is free, but seating is limited.

Peek, a native of Cornelia, currently serves as Director of Music/Organist at Henderson First United Methodist Church in Henderson, Kentucky. He also serves as Dean of the American Guild of Organists, Evansville, Indiana, Chapter. As Dean, he facilitates and manages concerts and events for the Tri-State community throughout the year.

Peek earned his Bachelor of Music with concentrations in both Organ Performance and Piano Performance from Piedmont University. He studied under Dr. James Mellichamp and piano under Mrs. Joy Hayner.

In 2018, Peek earned his Master of Music in Organ Performance and Sacred Music at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University in Bloomington.

First Presbyterian Church of Clarkesville holds a special place in Nikolai’s heart because it is where Nikolai had his first job as a church organist when he was a junior in high school.

The church is located at 181 Jefferson Street. Friday’s concert is a City of Clarkesville bicentennial event.
