An Alto man charged with felony aggravated child molestation remains in jail after a judge denied him bond.
53-year-old Bobby Lee Thomas is accused of molesting a 10-year-old girl. The arrest warrant states the alleged crime occurred between 2011 and 2016.
The victim and her mother reported the allegations to authorities in December of last year. According to the Habersham County Sheriff’s Office, the girl first disclosed the alleged abuse to a therapist.
Deputies arrested Thomas on June 1 and booked him at the Habersham County Detention Center. As of Sunday, June 10, he remained in jail.
