Mrs. Edith Elaine Kemp, age 47, of Gainesville, passed away Thursday, June 8, 2023.
Edith was born September 30, 1975, to Mr. Homer Jones and the late Nancy Argo Jones. Edith was a member of Restoration Baptist Church in Clermont. She loved the outdoors, animals, and camping. Edith was preceded in death by her daughter, Ashley Hatcher, and brother, Gregory Jones.
Survivors include her husband of 10 years, Julius Wilson Kemp II; sons, Jeffery Hatcher (Alyssa), Henry Hatcher (Amber), and James Schandera (Ashleigh); sisters, Becky Parker, Nancy Whitfield, Susan Jones, Patricia Garrison, and Donna Foster; brother, Gregory H Jones; Eleven grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services for Edith will be held on Monday, Junes 12, 2023, at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Ward’s Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2023, from 5 pm-7 pm at Wards Funeral Home.
