The Hall County Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating an early morning blaze that destroyed several outbuildings at a residence near Gillsville.
Around 3 a.m. on June 2, Hall County Fire Rescue was dispatched to a report of a residential fire in the 5000 block of Buffington Road. They arrived to find two outbuildings, fully involved with one exposure.
Personnel attacked the flames from outside, knocking them down quickly. The area where the fire had spread was approximately 100 feet away from the main blaze but was not damaged.
“No one was found inside either building, and the property was left with the owner,” says Hall County Fire Rescue Public Information Officer Kimberlie Ledsinger.
No one was injured.
The outbuildings are a total loss, says Ledsinger. The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
