Wyley Turpin, age 85, of Gillsville, entered heaven Tuesday evening, May 9, 2023, at the Bell Home with his family by his side.
Wyley was born December 8, 1937, in Gillsville, Georgia, to the late Ernest & Ruby Buffington Turpin. He served his country in the United States Army, having served in Germany. Once he returned, he started his professional career, retiring from General Motors with 30 years of service. Wyley loved the outdoors, hunting, & fishing. His two other passions were family and antique car restoration. Wyley was a true family man showing us all what a committed marriage was, as he was married to his bride for almost 62 years. He was a member of Diamond Hill Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his grandson, Randy Reece & an infant sister, Sarah Turpin.
Left to cherish amazing memories, wife of 61 years, Brenda Turpin; daughter, Cynthia (Dwayne) Reece; son, Mark (Monique) Turpin; grandchildren, Dustin (Lauren) Turpin, Brittany Turpin, Sandy (Adam) Crenshaw; great-grandchildren, Wyley & Ruby Turpin, Shelby, Balin & Archer Crenshaw. A host of family & friends also survive.
