Your vote could put White County Special Ed teacher over the top

A White County teacher needs your help. Davida Shepherd is a special education teacher at White County High School and is always finding new ways to help her students reach their goals.

Shepherd has earned the distinction of being a finalist in a contest called “High Five for Teachers” sponsored by Fox 5 TV in Atlanta. The winner will receive $2,500 for their school. Shepherd says she wants to use the money to build an outdoor sensory area for students with disabilities.

As of 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 26, Shepherd trailed fellow finalist Elisha Jones by roughly 240 votes.
