Sandra Marie Milam Castleberry, age 67, of Lula, passed away on January 27, 2023.
Born in Marietta, Georgia, on May 30, 1955, Sandra was the daughter of the late Walter G. and Donnie Marie Duckett Milam. Sandra was the owner and operator of Featherbuck Farm, where she raised chickens and guineas and rescued and saved many animals. She had recently found enjoyment in making tinctures and believed in the healing properties of homeopathic treatment. She was a lover of people and a servant to all. Sandra was a supporter of our 2nd amendment rights to keep and bear arms. Though she never had biological children, Sandra had kids she considered her own and was very lovingly involved in all of their lives. She was last employed with Tractor Supply Company, where she was a receiver. Sandra was of the Christian Faith. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother Rev. Greg Milam.
Survivors include her adoptive family Johnny and Kirsten Gallagher of Braselton, Rosie Allen, Liam Gallagher, Jossalynn, Jolean and Julian Iglesias, Harrison Castleberry, Kyra Riser, Izzy Riser, Brenden Riser, Dawson Hunter, Bentley Hunter, Krista and Scooter Hunter, Destiny Bump, and Luis and Stephanie Iglesias.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, February 3, 2023, at Hillside Memorial Chapel, with Pastor Chip Cranford officiating. Interment will follow the service in Clarkesville Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service Friday from 10 AM until 11 AM.
