Like a watered garden

Did you know God wants us to be happy? Joyful? Cheerful? He wants us to have an abundant life – Philippians 4:19, “And my God will supply every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

That can be difficult when you believe the odds are stacked against you.

Today, take a moment to celebrate who God is in your life. Here are some scriptures to help.

Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” -Nehemiah 8:10.    How we approach this day will make a difference in the outcome of the day. “…the joy of the Lord is our strength!”

“But, as it is written, ‘What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love Him”— 1 Corinthians 2:9. I love surprises – who doesn’t, especially when they are better than we can even imagine. Today, look for what God has in store for you. Put your day in His hands. Give it to Him and see what happens!

But to all who did receive Him, who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God,” – John 1:12. Ever wondered what it would be like to be a prince or princess? Wonder no more. You are the child of the King of kings and Lord of lords. Walk in boldness today, for God is your Father!

“And the Lord will guide you continually and satisfy your desire in scorched places and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.” – Isaiah 58:11. He will guide your feet today, if you let Him. I love the look of a watered garden. Today, be a watered garden.

Today, give your day to the Lord! Carry the look of a watered garden. Find your strength in Him, for in so doing, the joy of the Lord will follow you.
