Authorities raided two locations in Hart County and seized over 40 pounds of marijuana, guns, cash, and a $100,000 car.

Hart County Sheriff Mike Cleveland says investigators from his office, with help from the GBI, executed a search warrant Tuesday at 665 Ridge Road. They recovered what Cleveland called “a trafficking amount of marijuana as well as cash and a handgun.”

He says another search warrant was served on Wednesday at another location involving the same person, though the exact location was not released. During that search, Sheriff Cleveland says investigators found more pot, cash, and another semi-automatic weapon.

In total, more than 40 pounds of “high quality” marijuana, two semi-automatic weapons, and more than $11,000 in cash were seized, Cleveland says. The sheriff’s deputies also seized a Jail Break Hell Cat Dodge Charger.

Investigators arrested Diamond Alilse Scott, 21, and Bryson De’Mone Jordan, Jr., 25. They charged both suspects with trafficking marijuana, tampering with evidence, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.  Agents also charged Jordan with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

The suspects were booked at the Hart County Detention Center.
