Investigators charge Flowery Branch man with possessing, distributing child pornography

A Flowery Branch man faces two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor after investigators say he uploaded a video of child sex abuse material to his Snapchat account.

Investigators with the Hall County Sheriff’s Office and Georgia Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force arrested Marksu Tyler Skelton Stevens on December 21 after executing a search warrant at his residence in the 7000 block of Spout Springs Road. The 25-year-old Stevens is charged with two counts, one each for possession and distribution of the pornography.

According to the initial investigation, Stevens allegedly committed the crimes at his home on September 19 when he uploaded the video. Investigators do not believe the video depicted a local victim, says a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office.

Agents began investigating the case on December 19, after receiving a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The case remains under investigation, and additional charges are possible pending the forensic processing of electronic devices seized from the residence.
