Thousands of people are expected to gather at the Habersham County Fairgrounds Thursday for the 15th annual Habersham County E-911 Children’s Fun Festival. The festival will run from 5 to 8 p.m. at the fairgrounds located at 4235 SR 17/Toccoa Highway in Clarkesville.
The fun fest originated in the early 2000s as a small community gathering and has grown through the years into one of the county’s most highly-anticipated yearly events. It traditionally kicks off the Halloween season in Habersham and routinely draws people from throughout the county and surrounding communities.
This year’s event, as in year’s past, will feature a variety of activities including a hay ride, dunk tank, interactive exhibits, and trunk or treat.
Children and adults are invited to come dressed in their Halloween costumes.
Public safety personnel will offer safety demos. Children can explore a variety of public safety vehicles and meet first responders.
Admission is free.
